QuicKeys X2 Shortcut: Arrange_AlignBottomEdges
Here is an example that you can download of
a QuicKeys X2 Shortcut
that will align the bottom edges of the selected objects in FileMaker
Pro 6 or 7 running
on OS
X. This is especially useful for designing layouts with list and
portal views.
I tested the Arrange_AlignBottomEdges Shortcut on FileMaker
Pro 6 and 7 on 2 machines both running OS X 10.3 (Panther). I suggest downloading the
free trial version of QuicKeys X2 and testing it before
buying. The Arrange_AlignBottomEdges shortcut is unlocked
so you can see exactly what it does.

I use QuicKeys X2 because it is, as Macworld magazine
says in the September 2004 issue on page 70, the gold standard of
shortcut software. Here
are
some of the features that make QuicKeys X2 my
choice:
- Multistep sequences
- Recordable sequences
- The ability to run an AppleScript from a QuickKeys X2 Shortcut
- The ability to run a QuickKeys Shortcut from an AppleScript
- Free trial version
There are other less expensive shortcut/macro programs for
OS X in the marketplace including Keyboard
Maestro and
iKey.
I prefer QuicKeys X2 because it is the most powerful
and, in my opinion, worth the higher price.
